Rustic Farmers Wife

Growing up on a farm, life was never dull. If you have never experienced it I like to refer people to the now famous television family from Montana. Aside from politics and violence the farm life and work are much the same. Although my family uses 4-wheelers and trucks instead of horses. But the danger is still there. It just makes it entirely your own fault instead of a horse.

In my small town it was encouraged to participate in sports and I saw it as a way to stay fit and to get out of chores every few seasons. Well like anything you do with passion sometimes our bodies cant be pushed as far as we would like them too. These two aspects are the causes of my personal joint, bone and muscle pains. During college, studies became more important and physical activities became less so. My pain started to show its face and over the counter solutions didn’t seem to cover it. I have seen what prescription and other man made solutions have done to family members and knew that another solution was out there. It seemed God was listening. After not knowing where to start my best friend’s mother invited me to a sales party and I never missed out on the opportunity to see them. The party was for a reputable essential oil company and the fuel I needed to start my healing journey had begun. I soon became interested in any ways of utilizing the resources that I already had on hand such as lard, tallow and things that I could grow in my garden.

After helping my own pain I started studying other oils and herbs learning about their properties and the secrets they hold. It was not long before family members and friends started taking notice. They then came to me asking about their struggles and if what I had learned could help them. I now have a range of products in my arsenal. From acne to neuropathy relief  I am learning and adding more flavors every year. I have ventured into fragrance oils to find the most intoxicating blends that will enhance my essential oils and take care to make sure that they do not compromise the benefits. I will continue to learn all I can and find new blends to help solve new challenges. I dream that one day my knowledge can help others see that not all answers rest in a bottle or vile but in the environment around us.
