I wanted to create something that resonated homestead, homegrown, home-raised and country living. With mid-Missouri sourced honey and goat milk mixed with rolled oats I have accomplished my goal. The golden bottom layer brings a richness to the soap and reminds me of honeycomb, while the white top adds a whipped creaminess to the bar.

Ingredients: Goat Milk, essential oils, sodium hydroxide, pig lard, sweet almond oil, shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, raw honey, oats, titanium dioxide, jojoba oil, castor oil, olive oil.

This flavor is a part of my Dad scents collection. In honor of my late grandfathers, I wanted to make something that I know that all the men in my family would enjoy, and possibly other men could enjoy as well. Inspired by 1920’s British style manor and decorum, specifically when the men would usually go through after dinner for a nightcap. This soap has a mix of clays and natural powders mixed with micas to create a manly bar of soap.

Ingredients: Goat milk, essential oils, sodium hydroxide, cocoa butter, pig lard, mango butter, sweet almond oil, nut and root powders(colorants), honey, green tea, mixed clays, olive oil, aloe vera, shea butter, titanium dioxide, mica powder, castor oil.

This soap was created with adolescence in mind. I remember as a young teen fighting acne and blemishes through school and I wish that I had known more of what I now know about oils and natural everyday herbs and ingredients instead of wasting so much on over-the-counter coverup treatments. Charcoal is a natural exfoliant, but it also helps clean and ride skin of toxins, while orange oil is great for reducing redness and gives your skin a boost of vitamin C. Orange oil’s antimicrobial properties can be very beneficial for many skin types. What an impressive trio this bar of soap makes when you add in all the advantages goat milk has to offer.

This is such a fun soap to make. I used another layering technic to create a cake like soap. A charcoal layer to for grit and cleansing. A layer of creamy honey filled soap to create a rich lather that has optimum moisture. And a honeycomb crumble piece as a garnish on top.

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. The lights, the charm, snow! If not for the main reason of the birth of our Lord and savior but, also the time to be with family and friends. There are smells that I associate with Christmas such as pine, cedar and spruce. I wanted to get these scents together so that if your feeling nostalgic or want to utilize the benefits of these trees as an oil they are available as one wonderful bar of soap.

This is another bar that I consider to be very manly scented. Pine Tars uses stretch from the equestrian uses to dandruff relief. The layer of charcoal enhanced pine tar gives a grit feeling to scrub even an auto mechanics hands.

Please say ALOE! to my friend here. Aloe is a fantastic plant with many benefits. The most common is its use for burns on our skin. This may not be an essential oil, but it is very mighty. The oils it does have however are perfect for any fall coffee drinking enthusiast. If you are a fan of pumpkin spice this is the perfect addition to your collection of all things pumpkin spice. Currently there is not pumpkin in the bar however, the spices that make up the blend, including cardamon, ginger, allspice ectara, are in here.

Patchouli & Vanilla Goat Milk Bar Soap

I have always found patchouli to be an acquired scent. Some love it and others stay as far away as possible. Though experimentation I have found that vanilla essential oil helps balance the scent of patchouli. Vanilla helps elevate the floral notes while suppressing some of the more earthy tones that many find unappealing in patchouli. Patchouli may have its faults but with so many uses from insect repellant to snake bites it is one that I can’t seem let go of.
